Purpose of This Program This program runs on a 4 day split. Each day targets one major muscle group: chest, quads, back, and hamstrings/glutes. Instead of rushing through your whole body in one session, each muscle group gets the time and volume it actually needs to grow. For a beginner to intermediate lifter, this makes a big difference. You get time to learn the key movements properly. Better form, a stronger mind muscle connection, and enough volume per session to drive real progress. Day 1 is chest focused, built around Incline Chest Press and Chest Fly on machines, plus Seated Shoulder Press, Lateral Raise, and Overhead Tricep Extension to round out the upper body push. Day 2 is quad focused, centered on Bulgarian Split Squat and Leg Press, with Leg Extension and Hip Adductor work to build lower body strength and knee stability. Day 3 is back focused, covering Lat Pulldown, Chest Supported Row, and High Row for both vertical and horizontal pulling, plus Reverse Pec Deck and Preacher Curl. Day 4 is hamstrings and glutes, built around Romanian Deadlift and Lying Leg Curl, with Back Extension and Hip Abductor work targeting areas that get overlooked but matter for balance and staying injury free. This split also means better recovery. By the time you train chest again, it's had a full week to rest and rebuild. You come back stronger, not tired. This structure works well for beginners and intermediates because it builds a solid foundation first. Machine and dumbbell based exercises let you focus on learning proper movement patterns without the added complexity of heavy barbell stabilization. As you get stronger, the same split scales with you. More volume, more advanced techniques, more accessory work, without changing the structure. On Execution and Control Every rep gets done with full control. No swinging, no using body momentum to move the weight. Just clean reps through a full range of motion. This matters more than the number on the plates. Lifting heavy with sloppy form doesn't build the muscle you're targeting. It just shifts the work to whatever joint ends up compensating. Machine settings stay the same every session. Same seat height. Same pin position. Same pad placement. This way you're always training the same range of motion, so any strength gains you see are real, not just a shift in leverage. The mindset here is control over ego. It's not about how much weight you move, it's about how well you move it. Chasing heavier numbers at the cost of form feels productive short term, but it slows real progress and raises injury risk. Strict, controlled reps, even with less weight, build more strength and muscle over time.

Common questions

Yes, VP Hypertrophy 4D is completely free to follow on Boostcamp. Download the app on iOS or Android, find the program, and start your first workout immediately. All 4 weeks are fully unlocked.

This program is built around a full gym. Make sure you have consistent access before starting, since the progression model assumes you can perform the same movements week over week.

Each session typically takes around 60 minutes to complete. That estimate covers your working sets but doesn't account for warm-up or rest between sets, so budget a little extra time when you're first learning the movements.

VP Hypertrophy 4D is structured around 4 training days per week, with rest days built in to allow for recovery. The Boostcamp app lets you reschedule sessions if your week doesn't go to plan.

The program runs for 4 weeks. The structure is designed so that each week builds on the last, with weights, volume, or intensity progressively increasing as you go.

VP Hypertrophy 4D is available inside the Boostcamp app, free on iOS and Android. Once you download the app, you can search for the program by name. The app tracks all your sets and weights automatically, so you always know exactly what to do next session.
